Post spin class thoughts

Hello September.

I can't even believe I just typed that, time just keeps on flying. So time for an update this week. My goodness my spin workout today really kicked my bum. (I took last week off to make sure my cat didn't croak, and he's still here. No worries, he made it through that awful respiratory virus.)
He still looks a little pathetic, but at least he's super chatty this week.

Have you gone to a workout that you really had to make yourself go? That was me yesterday. I can tell you right now, I didn't give it my all. We even had a partner workout yesterday and LOVE partner workouts, but I really just wanted to go home. Still mad at myself for it, but going to spin today really helped move that lactic acid out of my muscles and got me to forgive myself.

3 cool things:

1. I went to one of my favorite bloggers website, Hungry Runner Girl and she is doing a giveaway. She is promoting Blue Apron. Basically it's this company that sends you food for 3 meals and it can feed anywhere from 2-6 people, based on what your preference. It kind of gets you thinking out of the box for the meals you cook and if you cook the same 10 meals over and over again in your house, it will get you out of the rut!  For the first 50 readers or so, you can try two free meals, you still have to pay $40 for the rest of the box, but hey it's really cool and I'm definitely trying it out. I'll will let you know how it goes.  Go check it out!

2. It's restaurant week here in Charleston. This week does me in, EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. But I'm kind of thankful it's here this week because my dad is coming all the way from Texas to visit me and now we can eat at so many yummy places! How this week works: on the Charleston Restaurant week association website you can view all the restaurants participating and they will have a set menu you can choose from. These options might include an appetizer, main course and dessert for $20, $30, or fancier restaurants $40. It's kind of cool to go somewhere fancy for less. I've noticed other states are starting to do too, look around in your area for it. I love it.

3. I think this is pretty self explanatory.  Y'all know my love for countdowns.

Now my life is calming down a bit with my cat getting better, now I can focus on the quality of working out. I think another reason i'm in a workout rut, is because i've been doing basically the same thing for months, at least since the end of February with boot camp. I recently noticed a new workout facility in my area called Title Boxing club. My husband used to box for AF and he has really encouraged me to at least try it. He said the workouts are amazing and he got a lot of out of them. He might try these with me, let's see how ridiculously competitive he gets..  I know if I don't like it I can always go back to my normal bootcamp routine.

Seeing things like this always get my perspective back where it needs to be.

Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone got through Monday ok!

Questions for you!!!

Have you ever tried Blue apron?!

What do you do when you're in a workout rut?
